Dear UTR Cast and Volunteers:

How’s everybody doing? It is our prayer that you and your family are doing well during this challenging season in our world.

Due to the continued challenge with COVID-19, we have made a decision to cancel the April, 2021 production of the Upon This Rock Passion Play. We do plan to schedule a future production weekend once the pandemic has subsided; however, we chose not to select a new rescheduled date until churches, businesses, and other establishments are resuming normal operations. A significant number of our patrons are seniors, and we want them around when we celebrate the next Upon This Rock experience - it’s going to be explosive!

Here’s the plan:

1. Since we have already rescheduled the Indy production twice, we have decided to officially cancel the April 2021 production and refund monies to our ticket-holders. Refunds are scheduled to be processed February 1, 2021. All ticket holders will receive an email with further details as to how funds will be returned.

2. Due to unrecoverable expenditures paid out in preparation for both the Indy and Louisville productions for April 2020, we have experienced a slight shortfall in available funds for refunding; however, we are in the process of securing additional funding to cover the total cost needed to satisfy refunds. We are thankful for our UTR partners who have also faithfully sown into the ministry vision and will certainly aid with our present issue. We will be presenting two options for our current ticket holders to consider; request a full refund or consider foregoing their refund and sowing back into the UTR ministry. All who choose to sow back into UTR will be guaranteed complimentary tickets for the next UTR production (in the seating area of choice).

3. What’s going to happen Easter weekend 2021? Good question - and I think we have a good answer. Last year we presented a virtual presentation of the Upon This Rock Passion Play 2019 via Facebook Live. We received an overwhelming response from past patrons as well as many who’ve never experienced UTR. It was a great success and a blessing to many. For Easter 2021, we are putting together another Live Virtual Production spotlighting scenes with our special guest artists from 2010 to 2019. In addition, we will have live interviews with select cast members and patrons throughout. It’s going to be real special and keep us all in the spirit of Resurrection weekend. Sharon (Pastor Sharon now) and Pastor Hill will be hosting Zoom chit-chats with various UTR groups (cast, choir, dancers, stage vocals, operations teams, etc.). While we’re waiting to reconvene in person, we can still connect online and play catch up. We can’t wait to see and chat with everybody. Keep checking your email for a Zoom invite soon.
